Become a volunteer at this year's festival!
Eggstockfestivalen is a meeting place for music lovers with long roots, a tradition that would not be possible without the help of our wonderful volunteers. We have now opened registration for this year’s Eggstockfestival, and hope to have you on board!
As a volunteer, you will be asked to work two days during the festival, while getting one day off to fully enjoy the event. In addition, you will receive a meal during your shifts, a festival T-shirt, and of course many new friends and memories! You will also be invited to a volunteer kick-off celebration. 🦺 Safety & atmosphere
As part of the safety team, you will play an important role in making Eggstockfestivalen a safe and welcoming place for everyone. You help ensure that volunteers, bands, the audience, and everyone in between have a comfortable and enjoyable festival experience! For this group, we are looking for positive volunteers who enjoy working with people. Your responsibilities may include access control (security), monitoring emergency exits (fire guard, must be at least 18 years old), and general oversight of the festival area. Volunteers working as “vibe guards” help ensure that guests and fellow volunteers are having a good experience, and act as extra hands at the right place at the right time helping out with food and water distribution. As a part of this group, it is also possible to work with accessibility, helping to ensure a smooth and inclusive festival experience for everyone.
Are you responsible and enjoy helping others? If so, you are a great fit for the safety and atmosphere volunteer team!
🎸 Artist host
As an artist host, you get to spend time with the upcoming big stars and make sure that they have what they need, such as water and snacks. In this role, you will help take care of the backstage area and ensure that it remains a clean and pleasant space for the artists. Part of the job also involves monitoring the backstage area and making sure that only those with access (bands performing that day, staff and other artist hosts) are allowed in.
If you are interested in peeking behind the scenes and making new contacts in the music scene, this position is great for you!
👕 Merch
Alongside the ticket group, the merch team is among the first groups the audience meets when the festival begins. As a merch volunteer, your task is to sell products that help Eggstock become more visible around the city and beyond, while also creating lasting memories for festival guests. This is a fun opportunity to showcase the products and keep track of what is most popular this year, while also chatting with the audience and hearing about their festival experience.
If you are passionate about sustainable merchandise and meaningful interactions with people, the merch stand is the place for you!
📸 PR group
Do you have an eye for photography, videography, or social media? We are looking for volunteers who can help us capture memorable moments throughout the festival. Our photographers and videographers interact with volunteers, artists, bands and the audience, and help shape the festival’s visual identity while creating lasting memories.
If you are looking for artistic expression and want to document a wide range of live performances, we would love to have you in the PR group!
🥛 Bar
Volunteers in this group work behind the various bars at the festival, serving drinks and selling snacks to our guests. For this team, we are happy to welcome social volunteers who enjoy a fun challenge and a fast-paced work environment. This role requires good teamwork in order to provide the best possible service to our guests. No previous experience is required, but you must be at least 18 years old to work at the bar.
If you thrive in a busy service environment and enjoy meeting all kinds of people, the bar team is for you!
🎟️ Tickets
As part of the ticket group, you are the first person the audience meets and the beginning of a unique festival experience! ⭐ As a ticket volunteer, your main responsibilities include welcoming guests, exchanging tickets for wristbands, counting audience members, and providing guests with the festival information they need.
Do you enjoy being organised, acting as the face of the festival, and welcoming excited guests with joy and enthusiasm? Welcome to our ticket team!
🎀 Decor group
Together with the PR group, the decor group is one of the most creative sections of Eggstockfestivalen. Before the festival, you can help shape the look and feel of the event by painting, designing, and decorating. All ideas are welcome! As a part of this group you help bring the festival to life. You can also assist with distributing posters and flyers around the city ahead of the festival in April and May, helping transform Bergen into a real festival arena. 🎈
If you are an artistic soul looking for a place to express your creativity, or someone who loves walking and exploring, the decor group might be your calling!
